Cristo Rey

A unique project, as this mission church will be reaching out to mostly Spanish-speakers, yet core members still speak English.  A few logos were submitted and ‘field tested’ with Spanish-speakers as well as English-speakers. Interestingly, the favored design by English-speakers was a different design than the one chosen by every Spanish speaker. Even design varies between cultures. The design here is the one that worked better with Spanish audiences.

It was decided to use Spanish for the name of the church that had existed for many years already as Christ the King (Cristo Rey = “Christ the King”), but to use English for the title “Lutheran Church.”
